The Thursday Punch: Frankmusik, Roisin Murphy, The Killers, The Beatles and Free MP3s

Hot new MP3: Frankmusik's collaboration with Boysnoize. It's a hot one. Bedroom electronica. You can't get it any more authentic than this. The track is, of course, a speedy revamp of The Stranglers' "Golden Brown."

Another hot new MP3: Download this very fun MP3 from L.A. trio Hearts of Palm. The track is called "I Flow" and it is taken from their forthcoming debut album "For Life." It was mastered by Henrik Jonsson (Peter Bjorn and John, Robyn, Lykke Li).

Those crazy New York hipsters from Team Facelift worked with with dance superstar Armand Van Helden on his new single "Shake That Ass." Watch it here.

Roisin does Pugh really well. I love this woman. (And she is surely no copycat.)

Love Cirque? Love The Beatles? Make sure to catch this flick.

Ariel does "All These Brilliant Things" and is a "force to be reckoned with."

I'm loving The Killers' "Human." But where are the remixes? Bring 'em on!

Check out this smokin' joint for the fall: John Legend "It's Over" featuring Pharrell Williams and Kanye West.

Busy weekend coming up for me. Back in New York. Both The Killers and Chester French are in town while I'm celebrating my birthday. Good times.

The Thursday Punch: Roisin Murphy, Goldfrapp, Anouk, Bimbo Boy, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George, FriendFeed

Look, look, look! A scene from Roisin's new video. She's peeking from behind. It's divine.

If you like your music sugar sweet and super fun, you should check out Bimbo Boy's "Drama Queen." It sounds like a total '80s Eurovision style throw back. Remember Diva International? The Herreys? If you can't love it and if you can't hate it, you just have to embrace it. Download it.

Check out the sweet balladry from new pop crooner Josh Hoge who Clear Channel just picked as their "Hot" artist for July. Download his first single "Stay Away."

This is so cool. Cyndi Lauper will be performing with The Cliks tonight at Jimmy Kimmel Live. Tune in.

A spokesperson of the U.S. State Department gets asked about the Boy George's visa refusal and almost chokes on his sip of water. This is some serious government business. Watch it go down here.

FriendFeed is a blast. If you haven't created an account yet, do it. It's more addictive then Twitter and Facebook. Find ArjanWrites here.

Stream two new remixes of Goldfrapp's "Hapiness," the Metronomy remix and the Beyond the Wizard Sleeve Re-animation remix. Also, watch a special "summery" message from Alison Goldfrapp (Warning: she pees).

Anouk is the new face of Converse in Europe.

Revving up for a US tour in support of her highly anticipated full-length album, "Youth Novels," Lykke Li visited Current TV to guest host The Daily Fix alongside resident host, Douglas Caballero. Watch it here.

Check out a brand-new Madonna remix. Listen to Dmerit's remix of "4 Minutes" here.

It's just another day in Hollywood. It's monkey business.

John went to see The B-52's at their recent True Colors Tour and loved it.

Alfredo mixes up Weezer, Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Fannypack and Oliva Newton-John. Listen here.

The amazing Lykke Li adds more U.S. dates to her upcoming tour. Me happy.

Are you on FriendFeed yet?

The Infadels release their new single "Free Things For Poor People" that has a nice sing-along hook. It's time these guys have a decent Top 40 hit overseas.

The ultra-suave Craig David is one of my favorite R&B vocalists. The Brit finally released his new album in the U.S. that includes his single "Hot Stuff." Check out some excellent new remixes of the track on iTunes.

Head over to the Hard Rock Cafe web site to view some of the world's most iconic "rock & roll" memorabilia - such as John Lennon’s hand written lyrics to Imagine. Pretty cool.

Alanis Morissette recently visited AT&T's Blue Room to perform "Underneath" and talked about her new album (that is really, really good).

The Monday Punch: N.E.R.D, Kaskade, Gnarls Barkley, Melanie C, Nelly Furtado, Free MP3s

>

Time for a little click list for you to enjoy this Monday. A bunch of free MP3 downloads and other goodness included. Enjoy.

Basement Jaxx have remixed Adele's new U.K. single "Cold Shoulder." It is only available on 12" vinyl, but the group is streaming the mix on their MySpace page. It's very good. Better than the original.

My Toronto buddy Will W. saw Melanie C perform on Saturday and loved it.

Casxio is an emerging Los Angeles outfit that combine funk and soul with some peppered falsetto. Check out a free MP3 download of their lead track "Seventeen" here.

Sample a brand-new N.E.R.D. tune in this new Zune commercial. This track is called "Spazz" and if look closely you will see that the commercial also reveals N.E.R.D.'s  album cover for "Seeing Sounds." I'm loving the beat on this track.

Did anybody attend The Night of A Thousand Stevies on Friday?

Toronto indie rocker Tokyo Police Club are just everywhere. Download a remix of their song "Tessellate" that was produced by Tom Campesinos. (I tend to mix them up with Tokyo Hotel who are from Germany but sound quite different.)

Fans of MTV's The Hills should check out Headway's "The Start."

Kaskade released a minute of his collaboration with Deadmau5. It is called "Move For Me" and it sounds very promising. Great summer dance tune. Ibiza here I come!

Have you been paying attention to Gnarls Barkley new work? I think their new record "The Odd Couple" is inches away from brilliant and their new single "Going On" is fantastic. See the video for it here.

What's hot in the global charts right now? Marco Borsato (The Netherlands), Hero (Japan), Stealing Love Jones (South Africa), Nelly Furtado (Bolivia).
