If you have a chance this spring, you must try to see The Presets in concert. The celebrated Aussie electro-pop duo has embarked on a lengthy world tour and will bring their emotive '80s inspired synthesizer pop to U.S. shores in March and April. (Click here for their tour dates.)
To celebrate the return of The Presets to North America, Modular Records will release the compelling "If I Know You" as the next single from their excellent "Apocalypso" album.
To recreate the emotionally resonant atmosphere of the song on film, The Presets enlisted French director Eva Husson (who directed the acclaimed short for M83's Kim and Jessie last year) who put together an phenomenal video for the song.
Set against the emotive electronic throb of the track and the raw urban backdrop of Los Angeles, Husson creates a story that feels so liberating and uplifting. Tribal almost. The scene of the boy twirling around on Hollywood Boulevard is an instant classic.
Also, look out for the maxi-single of "If I Know You" which features remixes of Tom Middleton, new-Italo duo Heartbreak, Erasure's Vince Clarke and Tania & Jori.
