Former Destiny Child member LeToya is gearing up to leash out again with her new sophomore album “Lady Love” on Capitol Records later this year.
Currently impacting radio is the album’s lead single, “Not Anymore.” Written and co-produced by Ne-Yo, the track serves up a heavy dose of girl power with LeToya reaching out to females who are "fed up" with straying boyfriends. “That drama … I don’t want it anymore,” she declares. “I dried my eyes and realize/I deserve somebody who treats me right.”
Born and raised in Houston, LeToya (née Luckett) is a founding member of Destiny's Child. After meeting Beyoncé Knowles in elementary school, the pair later joined forces as members of Destiny’s Child. During LeToya’s seven-year stint with the group, she co-wrote two of the group’s gold singles, "Bills Bills Bills" and "''Say My Name,'' and appeared on the group’s breakthrough album, The Writing’s on the Wall.
After splitting with the group, LeToya went solo in 2006 with the emotional ballad “Torn," which earned her a coveted ASCAP songwriting award.
The next single from LeToya's new album is the diva-licious, anthemic dancefloor stomper "She Ain't got" that has been remixed by Dave Aude and Jason Nevins. Check out the Aude's remix in the player.
