Listen to Kylie Minogue "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" (BBC Live Lounge Version)

If you're using Twitter, you cannot have missed the barrage of tweets discussing Kylie's North American tour that kicked off in Montreal last week. Fans have been praising the Aussie pop singer with less-than-140-characters accolades like "so amazing," "100's of thumbs up," "spectacular" and "hotness." The singer's special Aphrodite Live tour in North America is a portable version of the larger Aphrodite Les Folies tour that Kylie performed in Europe earlier this year.

To celebrate Kylie's North American tour, Astralwerks is releasing a special iTunes EP with some eclectic reinterpretations of some of her greatest hits. The EP consists of 5 live recordings, three from a semi-acoustic BBC Live Lounge session, "Can’t Get You Out Of My Head," "All The Lovers” and "Get Outta My Way," and two recorded live in New York in October 2009 during Kylie’s first North American Tour, "Better Than Today" and the stunning "Confide In Me." As a special fan treat the EP also includes a short film featuring behind the scenes footage of Kylie on tour plus original tour wardrobe sketches by Dolce & Gabbana.

Check out an exclusive stream of the BBC Live Lounge version of Kylie's smash "Can't Get You Out Of My Head," a track that helped America re-discover Kylie in 2001. (Download the entire EP right here for only $3.98. A must have for pop fans.)

Kylie Minogue Duets with PS22 Chorus "Put Your Hands Up"

Loving this video! And another reason to support music education in public schools everywhere. Global pop icon Kylie Minogue headed to Staten Island, NY this week to duet with the kids of the PS22 Chorus to sing "Put Your Hands Up" and "Can't Get You Out Of Your Mind." So cute and amazing. Watch both videos after the break.

Free MP3 Download: Kylie Minogue "Better Than Today" (Monarchy Remix)

Remix/producer duo Monarchy dropped a new winter mixtape this week that includes their revamp of Kylie Minogue's new single "Better Than Today," which they have dubbed the Kylie Through The Worm Hole remix. The track is taken from Kylie's forthcoming "Better Than Today" remix EP that you can pre-order here.

Monarchy cut up the original song and pasted it back together to create a slow-burning powerhouse with the help of slinky house beats, sampled vocal loops and an icy breakdown half way through the track. This sounds nothing like the sparkly pop original, but this remix neatly spotlights Monarchy's soundboard smarts. Listen and download the track after the break.

Listen to Kylie Minogue "Wonderful Life" (Hurts Cover)

This is immaculate and incredibly moving.

Kylie Minogue visited BBC's Radio One's Live Lounge yesterday to perform a few acoustic versions of songs from her new album. She also performed a cover of Hurts' stunning "Wonderful Life," backed by a small orchestra that upped the emotional intensity of the song. It was a way for Kylie to return the favor after Hurts previously covered "Confide In Me" (consider it a sequel).

Kylie's delicate and pristine vocals fit this track so perfectly. What a great choice of song. And quite frankly, with all the news about gay teenage suicides on the rise in America and Dan Savage's It Gets Better campaign gaining momentum on YouTube, hearing the gay-loving pop princess utter the words "Don't give up. It is a wonderful life," hit me even harder emotionally. (Donate to the important Trevor Project if you can. Their work saves lives.)
