Grace Jones in The Guardian

Graceguardian

Head over to The Guardian web site to read a lengthy interview writer Miranda Saywer conducted with Grace Jones, the "masculine-feminine skyscraper."  It is a compelling sit down with the icon who talks extensively and candidly about her "scary" image, her new album that includes collaborations with Wendy & Lisa, Tricky and Brian Eno, her childhood and her rise to fame. It's a fascinating read. (Click here to pre-order Grace Jones' new album "Hurricane" on 7Digital. The album will be out on November 2 in Europe.)

New Grace Jones Interview

While many of you celebrated Madonna's 50th birthday this weekend, let's not forget that the amazing Grace Jones turned sixty years old last May. Sixty! And she is not showing any signs of slowing down.

Check out a brief interview that was conducted by MySpace's celebrity blog SceneJunkie who caught up with Mizz Jones. She talks about Amy Winehouse, Kate Moss, the recent Secret Garden Party tour and her new single "Corporate Cannibal." She also launched her official MySpace page, which she refers to as "her virtual me."

It's True! Grace Jones Planning a Comeback

This weekend is full of surprises. None other than Grace Jones appeared last week in London at Massive Attack's  2008 Meltdown Festival to perform her classic "Pull Up To The Bumper."

Look how she moves around the stage. Amazing. This woman hasn't aged a year since she stepped out of the limelight about twenty years ago.

And there's good news for Grace Jones fans. The singer is working on a comeback record which will is scheduled to hit in September. The album will be released on England's premier dance electro label Wall of Sound so that is possibly a good indication of what Jones in 2008 will sound like. Slave to the rhythm, baby.
