I couldn't be more proud of my fellow Hollander Esmee Denter for putting out this lovely, wholesome new single together with her mentor and producer Justin Timberlake. The Dutch singer is doing what so many young artists dream of and I'm so impressed with how far she has taken it.
When Esmee was 17, she started posting videos of herself on YouTube singing her favorite hits by Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Pink, and Natasha Bedingfield. Within nine months, Esmée’s videos had racked up 21 million views on YouTube, making her the number one Most-Subscribed to Musician in the history of video site.
Justin Timberlake was looking for new talent to feature to his new Interscope imprint, Tennman Records, and singed Esmee only 6 months after she first appeared on YouTube. For the past year and half, Esmee has been recording with Timberlake and hitmaker Polow da Don to put together her debut album "Outta Here" that will hit stores this summer.
This new video is positioned to break Esmee into the global pop sharts. It was directed by brothers Emmett and Brendan Malloy aka The Malloys (Vampire Weekend, N*E*R*D, The White Stripes, Cold War Kids) in downtown Los Angeles. "Love Dealer” will be available on iTunes on May 4 and will impact radio on May 25.
