Swedish pop crooner Erik Hassle is one of the biggest new pop voices to look out for in 2010. After becoming a chart sensation in Sweden, he is now rapidly gaining momentum in the rest of Europe with his lead single, "Hurtful."
But that's not all. Erik has his sights set on the U.S. as well. He is a priority act for Universal Republic who earlier imported Mika and Amy Winehouse stateside. The label will release Erik's debut album "Pieces" in the U.S. this spring, following the release of "Hurtful" on iTunes today.
With a proper, big label American release comes a brand-new video for "Hurtful." And this one is gorgeous. I've seen a few different videos for "Hurtful," but this one beats them all. Love, love, love this remix of a spectacular original. Listen to Penguin Prison's laid-back, loungy and very soulful remix of Erik Hassle's "Hurtful," which is one of my favorite pop songs of the year. This one is so fresh.
