Love, love, love.
I alerted you first about U.K. pop singer back in 2007 when he was about to release his excellent debut single "Secret Sunday Love." Unfortunately, the track never generated the momentum it deserved and things got quiet around Love.
But voila! This morning, he shared his fresh new single "Diminishing Returns" with me that you can download totally guilt-free. Ali Love reminds me somewhat of Sam Sparro. Both British singers bring a perfect combination of soul and electro that is totally chart-worthy.
Ali Love was raised in a rural community of bohemians and hippies, growing up on a musical diet of '70s soul greats such as Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Womack & Womack. After moving to London, he developed a love for everything house and electro at London's Secret Sundaze, a summer party that ran from noon to midnight in various venues in London's East End. Since then, he has released several singles and you may remember him as the lead vocalist on Chemical Brothers' "Do It Again."
The singer will release his long-awaited debut album in November. The first track from that record is the glorious and sparkly "Diminishing Returns," a brilliant, instant Italo-disco inspired classic. Remixes are just around the corner courtesy of Azari & III and Elli Escobar. Enjoy.
