Listen to Yung Skeeter 'Stand Again' featuring Gaby Duran [Review]
November 20, 2012
Yung Skeeter (formely DJ Skeet Skeet aka Trevor McFedries) sure likes to stay busy. After touring with pal Katy Perry on her worldwide California Dreams trek, the downtown Los Angeles sounboard wiz continues to crank out hot and happening new projects. Skeeter is not only known for his banging DJ sets, but he is also the man behind the success of rising dance-pop duo DWNTWN, plus he delivered very memorable remixes for people like Ruby Rose, Foster The People and Oh Land.
Today, Skeeter released his new artist single, entitled "Stand Again," on Dim Mak Records that features the vocals of Gaby Duran. Dominated by raving synths, melancholic piano chords and a throbbing house beat, "Stand Again" is the perfect anthem for all the people that were told they couldn't, shouldn't and wouldn't. With empowering lyrics like, "Don't give up now, it's time to time to tell the world, it's time to show them all, I will stand again," the song is a battle cry that sure will go over well on the dancefloor or anytime you need a mighty boost of confidence.
Tastemakers like Steve Aoki and Calvin Harris agree. They have added "Stand Again" to their DJ playlists which helps to create global momentum for the track (that Skeeter likes to refer to as "American K-Pop"). Yung Skeeter''s "Stand Again" EP that includes a bunch of terrific remixes of the original is available for download now.
