[NEW] Listen to Elton Versus Pnau "Good Morning To The Night"

Elton Vs Pnau Single

After Elton John helped shape Pnau's "Soft Universe" LP and signed them to his Rocket Music management company, the Aussie pop duo decided to return the favor and is gearing up to release an album that features highly imaginative reinterpretations of Elton's old masters and classic songs from between 1970 and 1976.

Elton is a huge fan of Pnau's work and gave his blessing as well as access to his original works from that era to allow Peter and Nick to create a phenomenal new collection of compositions. Some of the songs on the album draw from as many as six different early Elton tracks and added loops, samples and Pnau's own material, creating altogether a wildly unorthodox new style of music reinterpretation.

For example, the album's terrific title track and first single "Good Morning To The Night" includes pieces of "Philadelphia Freedom," "Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and "Someone Saved my Life Tonight." In total, The "Good Morning Of The Night" LP counts 8 tracks that sample from a stunning 49 Elton John master recordings, including rare live audio footage for John's personal audio library.

Elton's summer tour of Europe will include an appearance in Ibiza to promote the project with Pnau including the LP's first single "Good Morning To The Night’ that will be released on June 25 in the United Kingdom. "To have Elton’s support has been incredible," Pnau's Nick Littlemore explains in a press release. "It's about having an opportunity to exist in the world. Making music in Australia, it often feels like you don't have any connection with the rest of the world."

Featuring a sound that is retro in its origin, yet forward thinking in its execution, "Good Morning To The Night" has all the makings of a massive European summer anthem. The combination of contemporary, soothing dance grooves, bright melodies and Elton Josh's classic vocals stir up a blissful sensation, making "Good Morning To The Night" both en vogue and timeless.
