Frankmusik is no more. Vince Frank is recharging his creative juices and is back in business as Vincent Did It. Two weeks ago, we were happy to share the brand-new "Dynamo" that once again reminded us of why we admire and love everything Vince does musically whatever name he wishes to use.
Today, this mad sonic genius returns with the more experimental, yet very poppy "So You're Alive" that he posted on his Killpop Records YouTube account. This brand-new tune comes along with a video that shows Vince in a leading role playing a king in his own mighty winter wonderland.
There are two things I particularly love about "So You're Alive." First off all, Frank once again demonstrates his incredible sounboard savvy on this track with its progressive stylings and finely-tuned electronic textures that includes stuttering strings and flashing sound effects. Secondly, Frank applies his vocals differently to fit the production effort of the song. Yes, there's a bunch of effects he uses on his vocal track, but that falsetto is the real thing. No effects needed.
With two brand new songs being unleashed in quick succession, I'm sure more new VDI work will follow soon. There's plenty of more goodness where that came from. Keep it coming, Vince. We support you no matter what your name is. It's only the music that matters.
