The Killers continue their annual tradition and will be releasing a holiday single next week that will benefit the RED campaign that fights HIV/AIDS in Africa.
While back in the studio recording their new album after taking some time off as a group, the Vegas four decided to continue supporting a cause close to their heart with some new music like they've done in past years. According to fan communities, the new single will be called "Cowboy Christmas" or "The Cowboy's Christmas Balls," and will go on sale in digital download stores on World Aids Day, December 1.
Check out a scene from the video shoot that the group tweeted on Thursday and pictures Dave Keuning, Ronnie Vannuci, Brandon Flowers and Mark Stoermer dressed in traditional Western gear to stay true to the song's title.
This new charity tune follows the group's previous holiday singles "A Great Big Sled" (2006), "Don't Shoot Me Santa" (2007), "Joseph, Better You Than Me" (2008), "Happy Birthday Guadalupe" (2009) and "Boots" (2010). The song not only supports an important charity, but it also marks the return of The Killers as a band, a moment many of us have been waiting for. Hopefully, more new music will follow shortly.
