Video Review: Robyn "Call Your Girlfriend"

Robyn-call-your-girlfriend

What I love so much about Robyn is that she lets her music do most of the talking. In a world filled with sensational stories, outlandish gimmicks and over-the-top imagery to get music noticed, Robyn consistently reminds us what great pop is all about - powerful melodies, relatable lyrics and a heartfelt delivery. When Robyn sings, she makes you feel it.

And that's exactly what's captured in this video. There are no major special effects, no mighty soundstage and no storyline that may distract you. The video for "Call Your Girlfriend" shines in simplicity. It perfectly highlights what matters most and it reminds us once again why Robyn is one of the most phenomenal pop artists of our time. This is tears-in-my-eyes good. Watch it after the break.
