Listen to Collin McLoughlin "Save The World" (Swedish House Mafia Cover)

Anybody who can turn a blazing dance pop track into a touching acoustic ballad wins high marks for originality and musicianship. And emerging pop crooner Collin McLoughlin accomplished just that. He's getting lots of points for revamping Swedish House Mafia's new single "Save The World" to give it a unique spin of his own.

His finely-tuned acoustic version of "Save The World" neatly highlights the melodic strength of the original and demonstrates McLoughlin's knack for capturing its pure essence. A song that can be remade in this way is bound to stick around for a while.

So who is this the 22 year-old crooner? Born and raised in New York state, McLoughlin has been covering other people's hits on YouTube that has led to small gigs around the Northeast. Some savvy people noticed his talent and linked him up with GRAMMY-winning engineer Jason Goldstein who has worked with Beyonce, Jay Z, Kanye West and Michael Jackson. Currently, the two are recording tracks for McLoughlin's debut at the famed Downtown Studios in Manhattan. That's something to look forward to.
