Cherrytree Records has a fantastic tradition of inviting artists to their offices to perform special acoustic gigs for a handful of people. Artists like Lady Gaga, Robyn, Sting, Feist, Natalia Kills and Far East Movement all have played very memorable performances at the Cherrytree House.
In fact, Lady Gaga's Cherrytree House gig (watch) marked a breakthrough moment for the singer. It provided a unique platform for the pop icon to show the world that she was not some sort of soundboard fabrication, but a true talent with a style of her own.
And that is what the Cherrytree House gigs are all about - capturing the essense of an artist in an intimate environment that could just as well be your living room. No fluff, no fillers.
Ellie Goulding recently stopped by the Cherrytree House to perform a few songs from her album "Lights," which will be released in the U.S. next week (finally!). Check out her spectacular Cherrytree House performance of "Starry Eyed." Goose bumps! Ellie shines and this intimate gig perfectly spotlights her mesmerizing vocals. This is a performance to cherish. Watch it after the break.
