Robyn Brings Pop to Atlanta, Receives Warm Welcome
November 09, 2010
Just look at her!
Robyn could not have wished for a warmer welcome at her very first visit to Atlanta last night. The Swedish pop singer was visibility excited and overjoyed by the love she received from her adoring fans who kept wanting more and more.
That crowd response should not come as a surprise. Atlanta fans have been eagerly waiting to see one of their favorite pop icons perform in a city that is still ruled by hip hop and alternative rock. Robyn served up a proper antidote, and gave Atlanta a dose of straight up, high-grade pop packaged in a compelling high-energy live show.
The singer performed all of her previous and current hits, including crowd favorites like "Dancing On My Own," "Cobrastyle," "Indestructible," "Hang With Me," "With Every Heartbeat," "Be Mine" and a mash up of Abba's "Dancing Queen" and her very first hit "Show Me Love." (Here are a few more images of last night's show at The Buckhead Theatre.)
The night was opened by emerging Cherrytree/Interscope artist Natalia Kills who delivered a poised and tightly choreographed set to bring her musical vision to life. Diplo-protege Maluca also warmed up the crowd with her banging beats and larger than life persona, which rocked the audience in a frenzy. (Robyn photo courtesy of spm14 on Flickr.)
