Leave it up to Monsieur Adi to produce something breath-taking. This rough mix of his artist single "We Are The Romans" is an epic slice of dance, pop and electro that easily matches the grandeur of an empire.
The song is taken from Adi's upcoming debut LP, titled "Empire," which is based on the rise and fall of ancient Rome, but takes places in modern times according to Monsieur Adi. "The song 'We Are The Romans' captures the pretentiousness and power of Rome during the time when it was the center of the world," the Italian designer, producer and songwriter writes me.
The song takes the opulent qualities of the ancient Roman empire to the dance floor with its dramatic layering of chopped vocodered vocals, twisting melody of synths, harpiscord, a female choir and a blasting brass section. There is nothing trivial about it.
Adi is inviting other producer to remix "We Are The Romans" with a chance to be included on the forthcoming release of the single EP. Head over to his MySpace page for all the details.
