Ellie Goulding is one of the most promising acts to look out for in the next few months. She's a bit like a female version of Frankmusik with her beautifully-crafted electro pop that is simply brilliant. She's one of those acts that I get really excited about because her music has a genuine, authentic singer/songwriter quality that is wrapped in a forward-sounding production that is both sweet and crunchy.
The Frankmusik comparison should come not as a surprise as Goulding has been working with producer Starsmith on many of the tracks. He has also worked on Frankmusik's debut record, and he is definitely one of the most savvy new pop producers.
Check out a totally guilt-free MP3 remix of "Under The Sheets" that was produced by She Is Danger. They're producer/vocalists Lena Cullen and Maya Jane Coles - who write, engineer, produce and perform their own unique brand of electronica meets dubstep that has been likened to "an electronic Portishead meets Burial with shades of Massive Attack."
