Magnumpr_MIAMIHORROR006_8

The fine, delicious tracks just keep on coming this week. Before you start the weekend, make sure to download  Miami Horror's brand-new "Make You Mine," a mid-tempo, groovy, lush dance jam.

Miami Horror is the brainchild of 22 year old Benjamin Plant. The Australian has put himself on the map by DJing various high profile events in his native Melbourne and remixing a bunch of killer tunes. He's now setting his sights stateside and will be spinning in the US at SXSW this spring before returning back into the studio to finish the recording of the Miami Horror debut album, set for release later this year. Download the excellent "Make You Mine" after the jump.

Free Download: The Library "You Don't Need No Doctor Sugar"

Arjanwrites_thelibrary

With their affinity for totally infectious dance hooks and flair for dramatics, California outfit The Library are gearing up for the release of their self-titled EP on March 10 on Feudal Records. I wrote earlier that their music combines the best of Maroon 5 and The Killers, and "You Don't Need No Doctor Sugar" is a great example of that.

The EP was produced by famed producer Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac) who adds a slick and crisp quality to the group's music that emphasizes Court Alexander's arresting vocals. Wow. That man knows hows to belt a tune.

In celebration of their new EP, the Los Angeles quintet just announced another batch of hometown dates, including a special EP release show at Hollywood's Boardners. If you're in the area go check them out.

Ask The Artist: Questions for Patrick Wolf?

Patrickwolf_nme

Any big Patrick Wolf fans in the house?

Let me know if you have any questions for him and I will include those in my upcoming interview with him. Log on to the ArjanWrites Social and submit your questions for Patrick in the "Tips & Comments" section.

I connected with him for a minute last night, while he was on the Red Carpet for the NME Awards. Look at that fierceness that he's wearing in the picture above. The crowd was so incredibly loud that we decided to postpone it for a few days.

All he commented was that he was looking forward to The Cure's performance. If you're fan and want to know more about his upcoming two albums, make sure to submit your questions.
