Incorporating such influences as Morrissey, Tears for Fears, the Police, and Pink Floyd, Waves On Waves released their debut album last year that featured a collection of art-rock tunes dominated by emotive vocal harmonies, vintage synths and a firm underbelly of rhythm.
The group recently made the audio stems of three of its songs available for remixers. "Modern Man," "Your Operator" and “Say Goodnight" were all available to remixers to take apart and put back together in a special remix content. The winning mix was judged for "originality/creativity, technique/sonic quality and viability in the dance market," according to a press releases.
