Listen to The Killers "Spaceman"

Finally! This is the moment many of you have been waiting for.

The Killers premiered two brand-new songs at a fan-only showcase that they performed at the Highline Ballroom in New York City this week. The first new track they played was "Spaceman" and the second is titled "Neon Tiger," which invokes images of Las Vegas garish and glitz.

Check out a fan video of "Spaceman," which is the result of one of the first studio collaborations between the Las Vegas quartet and Stuart Price. This video is not a high-quality recording, but you can get a pretty good feel of the track and the group's new musical direction. It definitely sounds like a track that is positioned right on the intersection of "Hot Fuss" and "Sam's Town," combining Brandon's new wavy synths and Mark Stoermer melodic bass groove with Dave Keuning's anthemic rock riffing.

Flowers once again gets creative with his lyrics, singing about (what appears) an alien abduction to convey his feelings about freedom and understanding:

""It started with a low life. Next thing I knew they ripped me from my bed. And then they took my blood type. Left a strange impression in my head (. . .)  I don't wanna be kept. I don't wanna be caged. I don't wanna be damned. I don't wanna be broke. I don't wanna be saved. Give me rolling hills so tonite can be the night so I can stand upon a thousand thrills. Cut me some slack I don't wanna go back. I want new day in age."

"Spaceman" is very promising tastemaker for new Killers material. I can't wait to hear more.

Thoughts anyone?

Spaceman is a brilliant song and so is Human, I think their album is going to be a massive hit. Brandon Flowers is the most charasmatic singer I have seen and I love all their songs.

I also enjoy this song and think that Flowers has a gift for lyric writing. I found the chorus:
The storm maker says it ain't so bad
The dream maker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says, “Everybody look down
It's all in your mind”

to be somewhat esoteric. I'm wondering what your analysis is.

Hello everyone. Many people weigh the guilt they will feel against the pleasure of the forbidden action they want to take.
I am from Venezuela and also now am reading in English, give true I wrote the following sentence: "Kiss, kiss music, kiss albums, kiss lyrics, kiss songs, kiss cd god gave rock roll to you ii lyrics."

Thank you so much for your future answers :P. Linette.

The night of the fight, you may feel a slight sting. That's pride f*cking with you. F*ck pride. Pride only hurts, it never helps.
