Kylie Dazzles in London

Arjanwrites_kylieinlondon

ArjanWrites.com reader Will W. flew to London last week to watch Kylie Minogue perform at the 02 Arena, and he has lots of great things to say about the show. "Seeing Kylie perform live was an experience on a completely different level," he writes on his Facebook page. "Say what you will about Kylie Minogue's musical ability, but after watching her on stage, you will quickly understand why she was voted Great Britain's Favourite Entertainer yet again recently."

Read Will's entire review here. Also, make sure to check some of his front-row pictures, including photos of the Kylie Skull, the Kylie set and the Kylie Men.

I flew over, too, from LA. I have to say her voice is strong yet thin (she can hold a note longer than you'd expect) but I was left a little underwhelmed by the concert and staging as a whole. Seem like oddly disparate decorations and costumes (the American cheerleader section, the geisha section) without any particular unifying theme to strew them together. It was fun but M's Confessions tour was better as an entire concert experience. I really only went because she won't play the States. Just my 2¢.

thanks arjan for posting this :')

and bart, i love ur photos too!

dr. theopolis, i think the randomness of the concert sorta gels together with "X" as a whole. the album is more a "collection" of songs versus a complete concept. nonetheless i had the best time ever. we can only hope she comes this way to north america one day. it still baffles me that "X" sold only 5k copies in its first week. i'm sure that didn't help our cause to bring her over this way at all :(

x
