Watch Ladyhawke "Paris Is Burning"

Ring the alarm!

Check out this excellent video for Ladyhawke's forthcoming single "Paris Is Burning." Ladyhawke is a 26 year-old Australian singer who was signed to Modular records late 2007.

I have been listening to "Paris Is Burning" nearly non-stop since I first heard it. It's massive. It has such a compelling synth hook and sweet harmonies,  and for some reason it reminds me of vintage '80s Bananarama with a little bit of Feist.

Directed by Casper Balslev, the video is a visually arresting, energetic romp around the streets featuring a white wolf, snowflakes and fireworks. The single is released on June 30 on CD, 2 custom-art 7"s and digitally. The packages included remixes by Cut Copy, Chicken Lips, Alex Gopher, Peaches, Kid Gloves, as well as a French language version. Oh la la.

Agree, this is a massive song! I like "Back of the Van" even more, though, so really hope to see an album release VERY soon!

Totally agree: this is the first song I listen to when I wake up in the morning, and the last before I sleep.

AMAZING. Fingers crossed for a massive summer hit...

Calling a New Zealander an Australian is one of the worst insults you could possibly write.
