Photos: Jake Shears Duets With Neil Tennant
February 18, 2007
Check out these exclusive photos of Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears
duetting with Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant at a special charity gig in
London on Sunday evening. Jake and Neil performed "Loves Comes Quickly"
(from Pet Shop Boys' 1986 album "Please") that morphed into a gorgeous
rendition of "It Can't Come Quickly Enough" from Scissor Sisters' debut
album. (Click photos to enlarge.)
Proceeds from this special gig at Kokos will go to Body and Soul, a charity that supports kids and their families that are living with HIV. The concert will raise funds for Body and Soul’s new center in London. Other talent that performed last night was Lil Chris, Pete Tong, Ben Elton and DJ Sammy Jo.
Looks like a fantastic, toned down performance by Jake and Neil (both dressed in suit) that marked the teaming of two generations of openly gay pop artists for a wonderful charity. Hopefully, we will get to see something of this on YouTube soon.
(Big hugs for Kevin for sending me these exclusive photos.)
