Her own web site states that "Tori Amos describes the album in the context of her feminine spirituality: in ancient times, bees were associated with goddesses and the feminine." Musically, "The Beekeeper" incorporates vintage organs, Afro-Cuban drums and Gospel choirs. The site also has two MP3 clips of the new tracks "Sleeps with Butterflies" and "Cars and Guitars."
