While the Pet Shops Boys are gearing up for their big performance on London's Trafalgar Square this Sunday, the band announced the upcoming release of Liza Minnelli's "Results" CD. This is a remastered and expanded reissue of the 80s album by the legendary singer/actress.
This Minelli album was mostly written by Tennant and Lowe and also produced by the duo in 1989. On September 27th, Sony Music will reissue a remastered, expanded version of the album with bonus remix tracks and a three track DVD of the promo videos that accompanied the singles taken from the album.
Over the past few months, the Pet Shop Boys have composed and recorded a soundtrack for the 1925 silent Russian movie "Battleship Potemkin." They will perform the score this upcoming Sunday in a free concert at Trafalgar Square. The group will make one track from the soundtrack available for exclusive download on September 12 at 10:00 p.m. (UK time) on their web site.
Britain's Guardian newspaper featured a nice interview with Neil Tennant on Sunday in which the gay singer talks about his career, politics and the Potemkin project.
