Kylie Minogue Releases New Single

Australian pop kitten Kylie Minogue has released "Chocolate" as her new single today. The song is taken from her latest album "Body Language" and will be available on 2-track CD, maxiCD featuring the song's video and limited edition 12" picture disc.

"Chocolate" is a down-tempo pop delicacy oozing with stylish beats, seductive lyrics and the singer's sighing vocals. I was surprised this track was chosen as the third single off the album. The catchy "Obsession" might have been a better fit for radio and the TRL crowd with its hooky chorus and upbeat arrangement.

Minogue's publicist also announced that on July 12 the DVD "Body Language Live" will be released. The DVD will feature exclusive live footage from the singer's album launch party at the London Apollo.

Kylie Minogue's website now features the new "Chocolate" video and a behind the scenes look at the making of the video with Minogue and choreographer Michael Roone.

Chocolate has a very nice beat that you can simply chill to. I'm glad she's staying away from the TRL crowd, actually. She already has an excellent fan base that spans many continents and eventually her smooth beats will make it into everyone's ears.
