Exclusive: Listen to Kay "M.A.J.O.R." (Tiesto Remix)

Kay esingle final 2

Rising Canadian pop star Kay has something big and important to celebrate this week. Today, she released her very first EP on iTunes in Canada that will finally introduce her sweet and crunchy pop goodness to more people. It's about time! And with gorgeous cover art like that it will be easy to fall head over heels in love with her. Kay's irresistible.

A little birdie told me that big things for Kay will be unleashed in the U.S. very soon as well so stay tuned to this blog for all the lastest greatest about Kay.

The "My Name Is Kay/M.A.J.O.R" EP includes the single edit of "My Name Is Kay" (written by Evan Bogart and Ryan Tedder of One Republic) plus the original version of "M.A.J.O.R" that was produced by our pal Dr Rosen Rosen. That track premiered right here on ArjanWrites.com back in November 2010.

The EP also features some excellent remixes including Frankmusik's Lost The Damn Gameboy Remix of "My Name Is Kay," plus remixes of "M.A.J.O.R" by Gunslinger, Junior Sanchez and Tiesto.

Check out Tiesto's remix of the song in the player below. The Dutch soundboard maestro turns Kay's poppin' original into a hard-pulsing dancefloor stomper with a trancy touch that hits nicely around the 3:35 minute mark after a frentic build. It's a nice way for Tiesto to return the favor after Kay contributed vocals to his "Work Hard, Play Hard" single last year. (Download EP)

Exclusive: A Special Video Message from Wallpaper.

Uh oh. Somebody's getting trippy over there. Check out a special announcement by MC and soundboard wizard Wallpaper. about a special #STUPIDFACEDD" (aka #WHITEGiRLWASTED) remix package that will be dropping on a computer screen near you very soon. (Make sure to watch the entire video to catch a glimpse of Kay who is her lovely self.)

Wallpaper. (that period is intentional by the way) has been cooking up loads of futuristic pop goodness over the last few months and the banging dorm gem #STUPIDFACEDD is a good indication what to expect from him next.

Call him genius or call him smart, I just like to call him a pop instigator. When you think he has sparked a fire, expect him to hose it down with gasoline to create a firestorm of musical goodness. It's only a matter of time. Tick-tock.

Video Premiere: Kay "My Name Is Kay"

She's bold. She's fresh. She's Kay!

You may remember that I first introduced you to "My Name Is Kay" earlier this year and now Kay is bursting onto the scene with this poppin' new video for the track. Better not forget that name because she will pepper you with pizza dough! Super fun video that is a mighty fresh introduction to the emerging Canadian pop star. Making Nova Scotia proud.

"My Name Is Kay" was penned by her own rock steady crew of Ryan Tedder (of One Republic) and Evan "The Kidd" Bogart (Beyonce, Britney Spears, Adam Lambert). I love where Kay's heading, and she is a sweet, bold and welcome new addition to the female pop scene. (Make sure to grab Frankmusik's remix of "My Name Is Kay" right here and watch our video interview to get to know Kay a little better. )
