Win Autographed Copies of New Gnarls Barkley EP
Last month, Gnarls Barkley released an EP celebrating “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul,” one of the most striking and soulful tunes song from their last LP "The Odd Couple." The EP release includes four different versions of “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul," including the original demo recording, the album version, an instrumental version, and the stripped-down live version from the band’s MTV 52 Bands appearance. The EP also features the new song “Mystery Man" and a live version of "Neighbors" recorded at the famous 40 Watt Club in Athens, GA.
Atlantic Records and ArjanWrites.com have teamed up for a very, very special contest. I will be giving away 10 limited edition EPs and 4 signed limited edition EPs autographed by maestros Cee-lo and Danger Mouse. Fill out your contact information after the jump to have a chance to win. But hurry! Contest closes on December 8.
“The first time you hear ‘Who’s Gonna Save My Soul’,” said a spokesperson for the band in a press release, “it alters your chemistry. It’s a vulnerable song for tough times. So far, it’s been a cult hit. When people hear it, and they’ve got some grief in their lives, they adore it.” The song’s official video, from acclaimed director Chris Milk, has drawn controversy for its dark humor and violent imagery. I just think it is pretty smart and clever.
(Gnarls Barkley contest is closed.)

Contest: Win KT Tunstall Shure Headphones + Full Catalog
Would you like a nice pair of new headphones to complement your nifty music player filled with ArjanWrites.com guilt-free MP3 downloads?
Have a chance to win a pair of Shure SE110 Sound Isolating Earphones courtesy of KT Tunstall. I'm not sure if KT has actually worn these plugs, but I'm pretty sure she will approve of them as Shure is known to be the brand of choice for many musicians. KT also throws in her two albums "Eye To The Telescope" and "Drastic Fantastic" to sweeten the deal for the winner.
Submit your contact information after the jump to have a chance to win. Contest closes on November 1. I will randomly draw a winner from all submissions.
Win Limited-Edition Placebo Lithograph
Click here to see a photo of the lithograph. Submit your name after the jump to have a chance to win. I will pick a winner at random on September 20.
"Extended Play 07" features five of the band's classics and three previously unreleased live tracks, including "Pure Morning "(live from Arras), "Infra-red" (live from Nimes, stream) and the Kate Bush cover "Running Up That Hill"(live from Santiago).
If you're not familiar with the darkly romantic and musically adventurous music of Placebo, then this album might be a good time to get to know Brian Molko (vocals and guitar), Stefan Olsdal (bass) and Steve Hewitt (drums) a little better. I saw the band perform at Coachella earlier this year and was blown away by their tight and compelling live set.
A press release boasts, "Placebo has grown into one of the biggest and best international rock bands on the globe influencing such young bands as My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco, AFI and Aiden. They have collaborated with David Bowie, Michael Stipe, Robert Smith, and Frank Black and headlined festivals all over Europe, South East Asia, and South America."

Submit your contact information to have chance to win a limited-edition Placebo lithograph. Winner will be picked randomly from all entries on September 20.
