Las Vegas pop rock outfit Imagine Dragons is stirring up a whole lotta of buzz with their debut single, "It's Time," a propulsive tune featuring stirring vocals that unveils some very personal storytelling. "It was written when I was going through a lot of changes and a hard time in my life," singer Dan Reynolds tells me in an exclusive interview. "[The song is about] about new beginnings and starting over while staying true to your roots, but people can interpret the lyrics in their own ways."

"It's Time" is taken from the group's new EP "Continued Silence" that is a tastemaker for the group's major label debut, entitled "Night Visions," that will be released this fall on KIDinaCORNER/Interscope Records. The EP captures a range of emotions from pain and heartache on "It's Time" to celebrating the joys of life on "On Top Of The World.""I run the mill with emotions as a writer," Reynolds confides. "I write about things that make me happy, life experiences, dreams, nightmares, heartbreak or sorrow, just kinda a little bit of everything. The general theme of the 'Continued Silence' EP is about pushing through life, all of life."

After playing shows across Las Vegas, and up and down the West Coast, Imagine Dragon released several EPs independently. They signed to Interscope Records late last year to create a bigger platform for their music. None other than Alex Da Kid (Eminem, Rihanna, Skylar Grey) took an interest and signed on to be the album's executive producer. "Alex brings an incredible experience and long resume of accomplishments to the project," Reynolds explains. "He added an urban flavor to our sound that helped to perfect our music."

What will likely help to push the group's single beyond their existing fanbase, is a slew of remixes that are popping up all over the web, including a brand-new one by Kat Krazy that Imagine Dragons unveiled today. "It's incredible to hear all these remixes of our songs," Reynolds says. "It's so fun to hear other artists take a little creative poke at what you've done and add their two cents. I'm very inspired by other artists and find out how they hear things."
