[VIDEO] Watch The Cataracs Talk Career, Premiere New Music at ARTIST #TALK
The Cataracs have produced and are featured on some of the biggest hits in recent years, including Far East Movement's "Like A G6," Dev's "In The Dark," New Boyz' "Back Seat" and many others. Prior to hitting the big time, the Bay Area duo of Niles and David concocted an irreverent brew of hip hop, rap, electronica and dance on their independently released artist EPs and mixtapes that lay the foundation for their global pop sound.
Earlier this week, I chatted with The Cataracs at my ARTIST #TALK, a live interview event that I've developed in partnership with HP and Microsoft Windows. I talked with Niles and David about their career, creative process and their collaboration with people like Far East Movement, Dev, Snoop Dogg, David Guetta and Enrique Iglesias. During a listening session, The Cataracs also premiered some brand-new music from their forthcoming new EP, "Gordo Taqueria."
Check out a compilation video of the event in which The Cataracs talk about how they met, their Bay Area influences, teaming with Dev and the duo comments also on why they use HP and Windows technology to produce all of their music. Niles and David also provide commentary on new tracks "Cantaloupe" and "Roll The Dice," a massive smash about to happen that was co-produced by Wolfgang Gartner and Stargate
(A big thank you to the fine folks at HP and Microsoft for their ongoing support of my ARTIST #TALK series. To celebrate this latest installment of ARTIST #TALK, HP is giving away $100 discount on all of their products if you use code NBNV6434 at http://hpdirect.com.)
