Listen to NERVO "You're Gonna Love Again" [Single Review]
You may remember that we first alerted you about NERVO's flaming new "You're Gonna Love Again" when Steve reviewed an early demo of the song that magically surfaced on SoundCloud back in January. This week, the Aussie dance-pop duo of sisters Liv and Mim have finally unleashed the completed single edit of the song to kick off the summer dance season in style.
Compared to the unfinished demo that leaked earlier, this new version of "You're Gonna Love Again" has been polished and buffed to perfection. It maintains NERVO's exuberant spirit with its arena-sized synth chords and anthemic, trance-like build ups that are sure to devastate dancefloors everywhere. The song's splashy, big room sonics are the perfect backdrop for NERVO's uplifting message about living in the moment and finding "a rainbow in every storm."
As previously noted, none other than Swedish dance superstar Avicii had a hand in "You're Gonna Love Again" as well. He's humbly flying under the radar though and credited as a co-writer of the song under his real name, Tim Bergling, as opposed to his massively famous DJ monniker.
This week, the single mix is available exclusively on iTunes while the extended mix is available exclusively on Beatport. A multi-track EP with remixes by Marco V, Pleasurekraft and others will be released on June 19. NERVO recently shot the video for "You’re Gonna Love Again" in Los Angeles with director Isaac Ravishankara and it will premiere the week of June 18.
It’s been a busy year for sisters Mim and Liv since last summer's Femme Fatale tour with Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj. They are back in the U.S. all of June which includes a set at EDC Vegas, gigs at Mansion in Miami, Pacha in NYC, a residency gig at the Wynn Hotel Group's Encore Beach Club on June 21. The girls will spend the rest of the summer touring Europe which includes their first ever weekly residency in Ibiza at Ushauaia, club shows and multiple festival gigs including a return to the mainstage at Belgium’s Tomorrowland Music Festival.
