First Listen: A*M*E Previews New Track "A*M Back To E"
Fresh-faced new British pop starlet A*M*E breaks it all down for us on her brand-spanking new "A*M Back To E" that she unveiled as a preview today. It's a mighty potent and promising rave pop tune about living it up that is filled with big room synths, a chunky, hoppin' groove and a heavy dose of straight up girl power that marks A*M*E's rapidly evolving brand of pop.
What sets A*M*E apart from many other aspiring pop makers is her very clear point of view about the pop music she wants to make. It's not only her unique '90s swag that stands out, it's also her fresh, bold and all-inclusive approach. In a recent interview with ID Magazine, the confident singer sums it up nicely. "I'm doing something different than the stereotypical black, teenage, urban thing, so I hope people appreciate that. It’s fun pop music, nothing too heavy, tragic, sad or anything like that. Something people can relate to."
Like I wrote previously, A*M*E's love for pop runs deep. She was born and raised in Sierra Leone, the war-torn nation in Africa where she lived until the age of 8. It was the timeless pop of groups like Backstreet Boys and *NSync that helped her cope with her dire environment and was the one thing that she could always rely on. She now takes those classic pop sensibilities and applies it in her own unique way. I've said it before and I will say it again (and again and again), A*M*E is a hot new talent to watch.
