[VIDEO] Skrillex Sweeps GRAMMY Dance Categories, Watch His Acceptance Speech
During Sunday's GRAMMY Awards, Adele dominated the pop categories, Foo Fighters sweeped the rock categories, and Skrillex was king in the dance and remix categories. The Los Angeles DJ and producer won GRAMMYs for Best Dance Recording ("Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites"), Best Dance/Electronica Album ("Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites") and Best Remixed Recording - Non Classical for his revamp of Benny Benassi's "Cinema" featuring Gary Go. It's a tremendous accomplishment for Skrillex who is on the leading edge of introducing mainstream America to electronic dance music with his blazing dubstep tunes, his fine ear for melody and his impressive soundboard savvy. I grabbed a Flip cam and recorded Skrillex' acceptance speeches during the Pre-Telecast GRAMMY Ceremony at the Los Angeles Convention Center. He received both awards from the guys of OK Go.
