Monsieur Adi is at it again. The super talented Italian designer, remixer, producer and musical tastemaker never ceases to amaze me. I love when a remixer takes an original song, rips it apart and puts it back together in a completely new way. And that's what Adi does every time, showing what an incredible gift he has for music, melody and all the mechanics of the soundboard.

After producing epic remixes for Frankmusik, Marina & The Diamonds, The Mission District and many others, he now serves up a fine new version of Reni Lane's freedom anthem "Place For Us."

After Reni performed at my recent Superfraiche Pop Night, I sent Adi an email about "Place For Us." I though the vibe of the song and Reni's vocal delivery would perfectly match Adi's style of remixing. Adi was excited to hear the track and revamped it in his own unique way adding his signature baroque flavor to the song, featuring sweeping violins and a gut-wrenching guitar solo. Reni's vocals take on a whole new meaning and her lyrics bring tears to my eyes in this gorgeous new version.

Adi writes me, "I really liked the original's broad meaning, but the romantic in me wanted to make it an intimate and cinematic electro dancefloor song. Reni is so dynamic and her vocals were really flawless and I wanted to bring the passion out in her voice." And that he did.
