Watch The Gadsdens "The Sailor Song"

I first discovered The Gadsdens almost two years ago when I first heard "The Sailor Song" on their MySpace page. I was immediately captivated by the song's exquisite quality. It's that type of song that puts chills down your spine and makes you feel both happy and sad at the same time. Now, two years later, the band is about to re-release the song on November 29 accompanied by a beautiful video. Have a look.

The Gadsdens are Jody (vocals), Simon (piano/ keyboards), Barney (guitar), David (drums) and Jihea (Bass).  Jody and Simon formed the band in 2007 after a chance meeting at a friend’s party in Hackney. After discovering similar musical tastes they decided to work together on the score for an independent film that Simon was working on at the time. Their cover of Bronski Beat’s “Small Town Boy” was born and the future of The Gadsdens was cemented.
