Reni Lane is one of the most exciting pop acts for 2010. I first blogged about her a few months ago when I was struck by the compelling "Place For Us," a song about finding your way in life - a universal theme many people can relate to in their own unique way.

Signed to Custard Records in Los Angeles, Reni is Linda Perry's latest discovery and musical protege. Of course, pop music lovers know all about Linda Perry and the fine knack she has for writing songs and scouting new talent. After bringing new life to Pink and Christina Aguilera, Linda is bound to bring newbie Reni Lane to the top of the charts.

I'm thrilled Reni agreed to play my Superfraiche Pop Night and show off what incredible talent she brings to the table. I had a chance to meet up with Reni via webcam this weekend to chat about Superfraiche, her working relationship with Linda Perry, her upcoming album, fellow Superfraiche performer Brad Walsh and her love for gay fans. We chatted while she was on a break working with another very exciting new pop act in a Hoboken studio.
