A Few Words About War Child

Stop-war-help-kids

Music can make a world of difference. How corny that may sound, I believe that. Look at what music does in your own life. It can pick you up, it can move you, it can bring joy, it can inspire you and it can make you look at the world in a completely new way. That's the power of music - its ability to create an experience that will enrich your life, in small and big ways.

War Child is a cause close to my heart. Kids that have been distraught and misplaced by the horrors of war are so vulnerable. War Child reaches out to these children in war zones around the world. The organization provides them shelter, food and hope. One of the ways they help kids cope and manage with the trauma of war is to let them play. Let them do what kids do best. Through music, sports and other creative programs, kids can discover a sense of stability and accomplishment in an environment that is harsh and grim.

War Child believes that if children can cope and flourish so will the community they grow up in. Because after war, the real work begins. Rebuilding and reinventing the world as it was once known. The War Child organization provides humanitarian support to kids in war zones around the world - from Iraq to Sierra Leone and from Sudan to Sri Lanka.

This is why I pledged my support to War Child. All proceeds of my upcoming Superfraiche Pop Night will benefit War Child. War Child needs our support. These kids need our help. If you know what music can do for you, just imagine what it can do for them. It makes a world of difference.
