Free MP3 Download: Felix da Housecat "We All Want To Be Prince"

It's no secret to his friends and fans that funky electro maestro Felix da Housecat is a huge, big, mega fan of Prince. In fact, he is a walking Prince encyclopedia knowing every granular bit about Prince's life and musical legacy. So it was only a matter of time, before the DJ/producer would turn his unbridled devotion to Prince into a track.

I was hanging out with Felix in his home studio earlier this year when he first let me hear a rough cut of the track. I instantly loved it. It's a tuned up electro-funk stomper that has Prince written all over. It has those purple-ish synth bumps, the hand claps and a kick & stab beat that is very reminiscent of the Linn drum machine that Prince loved using in the early '80s.  Felix could not have created a more worthy tribute this idol.
