Special Announcement: Nelly Furtado's Fritz Helder & The Phantoms to Perform at Superfraiche on June 10

Breaking news! Rapidly emerging Canadian electro-pop sensation and Nelly Furtado protégés Fritz Helder & The Phantoms are joining the Superfraiche line-up at Canal Room in New York on June 10 for a rare U.S. performance. (Get your tickets here.)

The group is the first act that was recently signed to Nelly Furtado's brand-new music management company, Nelstar. Furtado has been a long-time supporter of the band. "I've been thinking about a way to help Fritz Helder for a while and this venture grew out of my love for the band, their art and their work ethic. I am as committed as they are to bringing their creativity to the world," Furtado writes.

The group features Fritz Helder (vocals, key-tar), Silk Helder (guitar, synths), Pastel Supernova (vocals) and Diego Superstar (vocals, synth, beats). The group's first single "Lagerfeld Lady" (out in the U.S. this summer) is an ode to fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld. The single will be released in conjunction with the group's debut album, cleverly titled "Greatest Hits," on July 7.

The Toronto outfit started out as a dance troupe put together by choreographer Fritz Helder, After touring with Nelly Furtado, the group most recenlty toured with acts like Lady Gaga, Dragonette and Semi-Precious Weapons.
