Must Download: Chester French & Clinton Sparks "Jacques Jams Vol 1: Endurance" Mixtape
My pals of Chester French have been blogging about their new mixtape for weeks and now it has finally arrived. And it has been worth the wait! The line up of new and existing tracks is stunning. Max & D.A. worked with Clinton Sparks to brew up this infatuating, rambunctious little concoction featuring everybody from Common to Cassie, and Pharrell to Diddy.
Highlights for me include their duet with Janelle Monea (two ArjanWrites faves team up and it's so charming), their remix of Lady GaGa (very hip hop pop chop) and the crazy fun collaboration with none other than Diddy and Jadakiss. Get it now. Totally guilt-free. And don't forget their debut LP "Love The Future" is finally in stores next week.

anyone trying for this from outside US - dont bother! it wants a 'zip' code, like only Americans listen to music - not impressed . . .

Hi Arjan. First off, love the blog. I read it regularly and have discovered some great music through it. But I just got back from seeing Lady GaGa live here in the ATL (she was amazing), and Chester French was one of the opening acts. I have to say, Chester French was bad. BAD. Like, really bad. The best part about their show were two girls in black leather leggings that flopped around the stage (the other opener, White Tie Affair, wow, they were even worse). I'm not sure why these guys opened for GaGa..you would think an artist of her caliber would have better taste. Anyway, I was at first pleasantly surprised about Chester French after reading about them so often on here, but I was sorely disappointed. I'm not sure exactly what you see in them.
