The Killers' "Day & Age" Explained

In a recent interview with a German fansite, Brandon Flowers is a little more candid and attempts to explain why The Killers chose "Day & Age" as the title of their new album. "It was appropriate for the songs. It’s very present, it’s futuristic, you know. It covers so many different elements that are this album. I think it’s very of the times right now. But it doesn’t sound like right now. 'Day And Age' as a title is also timeless."

He also thinks the title and the songs reflect how he feels about the times we live in. "I think we’re drifting away from being human to each other. Families are falling apart, nobody stays married anymore. There is more emphasis on what club you’re getting into on the weekend."

The Killers are currently touring in the United States. I'd love to hear your stories, see playlists, get Brandon fashion updates and see pictures of the shows if you go see them. Make sure to share it with the rest of the ArjanWrites Social.
