How Janelle Monae Found Out About her GRAMMY Nomination

Janelle Monae was enjoying her birthday in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, watching a Cirque de Soleil show, while Sean Combs anxiously was trying to reach the singer to personally give her the good news about the GRAMMY nod for "Many Moons."

"There I was, so excited, enjoying my birthday present from the guys, the Wondaland Arts Society —- my birthday was Monday —- and Puff [another Combs nickname] was calling all of our phones,” the Atlantan tells the AJC newspaper.. “He was so excited.
