Free Download: Heroes of the Dancefloor "Ricky"

Heroes of the Dancefloor is a very special musical project from a group of musicians who donated their time and effort to a special cause. After touring with Scissor Sisters and Kasabian, Gary Alesbrook, Alex Hutchins, Dan Moore, James Morton, Ben Waghorn and Mamazu put together the album "Torch" that will benefit homeless charities in New York City. A hundred percent of the record's proceeds will be donated to Picture The Homeless and Coalition Of The Homeless.

When the people of Heroes of the Dancefloor witnessed a very pregnant and crying woman on the streets begging for money, they knew they had to do something. With their music connections and compassion, the group pulled together the Heroes of The Dancefloor project to help out this worthy cause.

The record fuses old, new, and swing jazz with soulful vocals and mixing hip hop and dub influences. Perfect dancefloor stuff. "Torch," is the second in a series by Heroes of the Dancefloor to benefit the homeless. The sophomore album follows up the acclaimed, "Momentum" which benefited two homeless charities in San Francisco.  The next album will benefit the homeless of New Orleans.
