What's Happening at the Mercury Lounge Monday and Tuesday?
An anonymous ArjanWrites reader left a mysterious message at the bulletin board today in the right-hand bar of this blog. "Arjan - check out the Mercury Lounge tomorrow or Tuesday....secret gigs..."
All I can find is that DJ Sammy Jo is spinning at Mercury Lounge on Monday and Tuesday. But Sammy Jo usually doesn't come alone. In fact, he often warms up the crowd for another very popular New York act - Scissor Sisters!
Could it be that Jake, Babydaddy, Ana, Del and Paddy are playing a secret gig tomorrow and tuesday to try out new material? Very possible. If any of you has a better clue, please full me in!

Those listed headliners are clearly fake... Queef Latina and Debbie Hairy? Scissor Sisters is a good call.

Yes the sisters are performing on Monday at the mercury lounge. The gig is seemingly sold out. However there's been a message from Queef Latina on the SS message board..to contact her for tickets! Would be cool if you could go to the gig Arjan and report back. The message was "Although it is beyond sold out, I am going to release a very, very limited number of tickets for Monday's show at Mercury Lounge very soon, and I'd like to make sure a few of you get your chance to snatch them up. Creative and quick people who email info@scissorsisters.net will receive the information necessary to grab the tickets. Good luck, friends.

I just got home from the secret gig and it was amazing they played about 15-18 songs.. mostly new stuff that will be on the new album.. its very different from what they normally do with a very islandy/reggae sound... it was an amazing show and the crowd was pumped to see them....
