New York City is filled with hot new indie bands for the CMJ Music Festival this week. Two artists that I particularly look forward seeing are Roising Murphy (finally in the States!) and emerging electro artist Little Boots who is zigzagging across Manhattan this week to play and DJ shows.

Little Boots is the solo project of Victoria Hesketh, formely lead singer of Dead Disco. Her American debut EP "Arecibo" will be released mid-November on IAMSOUND Records. The EP will be available on 12” vinyl and digitally through iTunes. The EP was produced by electro meastro Joe from Hot Chip and melody-maker Greg from Bird And The Bee.

Little Boots' music can best be described as an eclectic brew of dance-oriented electro pop that balances both style and substance and incorporates lot of new ideas about dance and pop music.
