Here's something hot, new and promising to wrap your ears around.

Meet The Model, an emerging synth pop quartet hailing from Philadelphia that consists of Markie and Ziggy (pictured above), and Jason and Johnny. These Philly four began their '80s musical adventure as a semi-annual "philosophic-pop-costume-party" that turned from a hobby into something a lot more ambitious. After their underground experimentations, the group is now preparing the release of their debut LP "Physical" on November 18.

The music of The Model was inspired by "geometry and Russian literature, by Katherine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart, in old black and white photos. It’s as much man as it is machine," according to a press release that emphasizes The Model's fresh new take on a vintage sound.

Download a guilt-free MP3 of "What Does It Look Like I'm Doing," Filled with thick, churning synths and a hypnotic beat it shows off what hardcore synth-pop is all about. It's the hotness. (If you're loving the sound of The Model, head over to their MySpace page to also grab a free download of the ultra-sleek "Pleasure.")
