"Music, please!"
Bomb The Bass (aka DJ Tim Simenon) is considered the originator of acid house and sampling culture when he first started out spinning records in the London underground scene. He first hit the top of the U.K. charts in 1987 with the sampletastic "Beat Dis."
Simenon was a bit like the Timbaland and Mark Ronson of his time producing some of the most memorable hits of the late '80 and early '90s, including Neneh Cherry's "Buffalo Stance" and Seal's "Crazy."
Now, more than 2 decades later, he returns with his gritty and throbbing new single "So Special" that is taken from the long-awaited new album "Future Chaos." Described as "lush and chilly, intimate and alien," the disc includes guest vocals from Jon Spencer, Mark Lanegan, Fujiya & Miyagi's David Best, Toob, and Paul Conboy (who is featured on "So Special). This track proves that Simenon still has a knack for producing world-class electronic music.
