Listen to cuts from Janelle Monae's much-anticipated new EP "Metropolis ( The Chase)" right now before the record drops in stores tomorrow. Unfortunately, you will get to hear only short bits of it, but it will give you a feel of the vibe of the album.

I'm about to leave to see Janelle perform together with Gnarls Barkey tonight so I'm in a bit of rush to get out the door. Enjoy the stream. Some of my favorite tracks are "Sincerely, Jane" (which is a letter she wrote to her mother back in Kansas), the classic beauty of "Smile" (chills down my spine, seriously) and the empowering "Many Moons."

This record is a must-listen. One of the best of the year.
