Janelle Monae Lets It Rock 'N Roll
Watch Janelle Monae perform "Lettin' Go" at the Key Club in Los Angeles and completely, totally and utterly rock out around the 4:40 minute mark. Mic stand throws included. Also, make sure to watch guitarist Kellindo reach a fever pitch at the end of the video. "Lettin' Go" is an older Monae track that is not included on her new EP. Watch the video here.
(Did anyone of you get the EP? And? Did I boast too much, or do you completely agree with me that Janelle Monae is one of the hottest new things to look out for?)

She totally rocks. She seems to mea mix between Grace Jones, Annie Lennox ("Touch" era), and Janelle Monae herself!

About Janelle: You were the first to tall me about her, in fact, so thanks. I got her EP on CD along with autographed liner notes and have listened to my fave track "Many Moons" non-stop. I hadn't bought a CD for about 3 years until Janelle. That is how good she is!

She just happened to be passing through Portland today and I just happened to score free tickets to the show so all my excuses of being too busy were nullified.
She is AMAZING live. Lettin' Go took the audience by surprise but we got into it eventually. Like her, the show was short, but also like her, it packed a huge punch.

Got the EP. I really like it. In that way that I had to stop listening to it so I wouldn't over play it. Now that's when I like something.

my band & i just opened for Miss Janelle Monae this past saturday in Seattle. she's a brilliant performer - if she comes 2 your city - DO NOT MISS HER SHOW!
